Our team of professionals is committed to providing exceptional service to our clients, and we are currently seeking a highly motivated Finance Manager to join our new team in IRAQ Branch who will report to the Head of Finance at the Head Quarters located at Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy:

  1. Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's objectives to drive growth and profitability.
  2. Analyze financial statements, reports, operating metrics and data to identify trends, variances, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  3. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  4. Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements within the organization.
  5. Collaborate with department heads to optimize resource allocation.
  6. Provide relevant informational support for corporate finance and investor requests.
  7. Evaluate financial risks and recommend strategies to mitigate them.
  8. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:

Ensure full compliance with Tax Laws as mandated by the Federal Iraq Authorities, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Laws and maintain necessary books of accounts as per tax laws of Iraq. Remain vigilant in reporting and maintaining high standards of integrity and transparency.

Accounting KRA:

  1. Oversee the daily Sales and Purchase activities and ensure the procedures are going on as per SOPs in line with the current regulations.
  2. Administer the post-dated cheque reconciliation process, maintaining rigorous financial discipline.
  3. Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of Tax laws, and regulatory compliance, maintaining books in strict adherence to these standards.
  4. Guarantee that all financial transactions and records comply with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and other relevant Iraq regulations.
  5. Reconcile Sales & other miscellaneous receipts efficiently, ensuring accurate cash handling and banking.
  6. Ensure meticulous record-keeping for accounts payable and receivable, alongside monthly financial reconciliations.
  7. Play a pivotal role in budget preparation and collaboration with the team for financial planning.
  8. Develop, prepare, and analyse financial statements, reports, and budgets, delivering key financial insights to management for strategic decision-making.
  9. Support both external and internal audit preparations, ensuring accurate trial balances, ledger maintenance, and comprehensive journal entries with systematic filing.
  10. Direct and coordinate the daily activities of accounting operations, encompassing accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, payroll processing as per the laws & systems of Iraq and ensure timelines for smooth and accurate financial reporting.
  11. Oversee cash flow management, including petty cash operations, ensuring optimal liquidity for operational efficiency.
  12. Execute precise bank and financial account reconciliations, including credit card transactions.
  13. Manage and monitor receivables and proactively identify delinquencies for timely follow-up or legal intervention.
  14. Generate and present comprehensive financial reports as required.
  15. Undertake additional duties and projects as directed by management to support the financial integrity and operational effectiveness of the organization.
  16. Ensure Compliance with KYC Laws and UAE labor laws, Federal laws.
  17. Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements within the organization.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  1. Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
  2. Develop and manage the annual budgeting process.
  3. Create financial forecasts and scenario analyses to assess the impact of different business decisions.
  4. Monitor budget vs. actual performance and make adjustments as necessary.

Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights to senior management. Generate regular financial reports and dashboards for management and stakeholders. Provide financial insights and updates to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial metrics.

Financial Controls: Establish and maintain financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Cash Management: Optimize cash flow management and forecasting to support operational needs and investment opportunities.

Business Partnering: Co-ordinate and Work closely with various departments, such as sales, marketing, and operations, to understand their financial needs and provide support and recommendations. Providing Exceptional Professional services to our Clients and External Vendors for all Financial matters and regulations. Build and maintain complex financial models to project future financial performance and evaluate investment opportunities. Develop financial models and scenarios to support strategic decision-making and evaluate business performance.

Financial Operations: Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and billing processes.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field or MBA.
  2. At least 12 years relevant experience in financial planning and analysis roles, with increasing levels of responsibility for more senior positions.
  3. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  4. Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Strong command of accounting principles, financial regulations, and investment strategies.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other accounting software especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  7. Should be fluent in English and proficiency in Arabic language is advantageous.
