Safety Specialist

LHH is looking for a Safety Specialist in the Chandler area!

We are working with a commercial construction home that is continuously growing. Their corporate office is a huge, well-known and reputable company. It's a great opportunity!

This is a fun role to work with technicians, field operations, and those within supply chain & logistics and ensuring they are safe! Duties:

1. Assist employees with worker's compensation claims
2. Conduct safety training classes and seminars
3. Reporting to ensure sticking within OSHA compliance
4. Continuously keeping co-workers safe, reminding them of injury concerns and updating on the most recent standard safety practice
5. Assist with filling out forms with 100% accuracy
6. Injury and illness reporting
7. Support fleet management
8. Help HR with benefit leave
9. Contract-to-hire opportunity - Eligible for medical, vision, and dental benefits after 60 days of employment.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma and GED
2. Must have at least one year of safety and compliance coordination experience
3. Construction experience ideal but not required. Would love to see manufacturing and industrial backgrounds.

Hours: Monday - Friday, full-time, 40 hours. 8-hour shift, could start from 5 am - 2 pm occasional Saturday required depending on project needs. Also, swing shift is available along with normal first shift.

PAY: Up to $32/hr maybe more depending on experience. Contract-to-hire position. Lots of overtime potential in beginning.
