Funds Lawyer

Job Description:

We are currently conducting a search for a Senior Associate (or potentially strong mid-level) Funds Lawyer for a top-tier international law firm in their Dubai office.

The practice’s range of work is very diverse, from fund establishment to investments into funds (including Shari’a-compliant structures).

Their team advises sponsors and institutional investors – including private equity houses, sovereign wealth funds (SWFs), financial institutions, and corporate clients – on fund establishment and related issues.

They are willing to relocate for the right candidate and are seeking magic circle or white shoe training only with top academics.

Requirements:

1. Strong technical knowledge of the ins and outs of limited partnership agreements.
2. Good market knowledge of negotiating points on fund investments.
3. Experience in establishing funds in ADGM, DIFC, Luxembourg, Guernsey, and Cayman Islands.
4. Experience in hedge funds and M&A is useful but looking for in-depth knowledge of private funds and negotiations with investors.
5. Needs to be comfortable with funds documents and dealing with new jurisdictions.
