  4. Ship Structural Design: Proficiency in structural analysis of ship components, ensuring that the design is safe, robust, and compliant with industry standards (e.g., ABS, Lloyd’s Register, DNV GL).
  5. Material Selection: Expertise in selecting appropriate materials (steel, composites, aluminum, etc.) based on environmental conditions, weight, strength, and durability requirements for vessels.
  6. Hull Form and Propulsion Design: Knowledge of hull form design principles and integration with propulsion systems to enhance the vessel’s efficiency and minimize drag.
  7. Marine Safety Systems: Understanding of safety systems and requirements for marine vessels, including lifeboats, fire suppression, navigation aids, and emergency response features.

Software and Tools Proficiency

  1. CAD and 3D Modeling: Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Rhino, or SolidWorks, to create 3D models and drawings of ship designs.
  2. Finite Element Analysis (FEA): Using software like ANSYS or Abaqus for structural analysis, stress testing, and performance simulation of ship structures.
  3. Hydrodynamic Analysis Software: Experience with specialized software tools like SHIPFLOW, Orca3D, or WAMIT for hydrodynamic modeling and simulation of ship performance in various sea conditions.
  4. Stability and Seakeeping Software: Familiarity with software like Maxsurf, GHS (General HydroStatics), or NAPA for calculating ship stability, trim, and seakeeping performance.
  5. Ship Design Software: Proficiency in ship design software like AVEVA Marine, Tribon, or AutoShip for creating detailed hull designs and structural components.

Project Management

  1. Project Leadership: Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, and technicians to ensure the successful design and construction of vessels.
