Fitness Instructor

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To ensure the audiovisual equipment is well maintained and in good condition.
2. To ensure that Maintenance Gymnasium equipment forms are up to date and implement preventative maintenance programs if necessary.
3. To be fully aware of current and future services offered by the hotel and to make suggestions for improvement, expansion, or creation of new services.
4. To remain up to date with local and international trends in the health and leisure services through internet magazines and other applicable media.
5. To manage the fitness centre retail area inclusive of stock control, inventory, and sales.
6. To manage the fitness centre and sports facilities inclusive of other outdoor and indoor leisure programs.
7. To ensure high standards of cleanliness in the department.
8. To develop and implement personalized exercise programmes for guests who request private sessions and for those who would benefit from personal instruction.
9. To provide one-to-one Personal Training when required.
10. To provide Fitness Consultations for arriving guests.
11. To assist guests with retail purchases where required.
12. To cover Gymnasium Reception and retail areas when required.
13. To handle any guest complaints and refer to the Supervisor or Manager where necessary.
14. To provide regular follow-up contact for guests and monitor progress of any recommended fitness programs throughout their stay.
15. To ensure that proper policies and procedures are followed in regards to monitoring the health and wellbeing of guests participating in classes and using the gym/sports facilities inclusive of administering medical questionnaires.

Qualifications:

Internationally recognized personal training certification. A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position preferably in the hospitality industry.
