Job description

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Curriculum Development:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in mathematics, adhering to the curriculum and educational standards.
- Prepare instructional materials, assignments, and assessments to ensure the development of students' mathematical skills and understanding.
- Use a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, group work, and hands-on activities, to engage students and cater for diverse learning styles.
Student Assessment and Feedback:
- Monitor and assess student progress through quizzes, tests, assignments, and projects.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their work and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and grade assignments, projects, and exams in a fair and consistent manner.
Classroom Management:
- Establish and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Set clear expectations for student behavior and academic performance.
- Manage classroom activities, keeping students focused and engaged in the learning process.
Student Support:
- Provide individual support and tutoring for students who need extra help.
- Encourage student participation, engagement, and curiosity in the subject matter.
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student performance and progress as needed.
Professional Development:
- Stay updated on developments in mathematics and education through professional development opportunities.
- Attend staff meetings, workshops, and conferences to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve the overall quality of the mathematics program.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
- Participate in school activities, such as parent-teacher meetings, extracurricular events, and school committees.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Previous teaching experience in mathematics.
Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts, principles, and applications.
Familiarity with modern teaching tools, technologies, and educational software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to engage students and foster a love for mathematics.
Committed to the academic and personal success of students.
Collaborative team player with a willingness to contribute to the school community.
Must be in Al Ain.
