Construction Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the civil construction site, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient project execution.
2. Supervise and coordinate site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers, fostering a collaborative and safe work environment.
3. Develop detailed construction schedules, manage project timelines, and ensure the timely completion of milestones.
4. Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and maintaining compliance with industry safety standards.
5. Oversee the quality of construction work, ensuring all civil works meet project specifications, codes, and regulations.
6. Monitor project budgets, track costs, and mitigate potential cost overruns or delays.
7. Act as the primary point of contact between clients, project managers, and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress.
8. Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant laws, environmental regulations, and data center-specific planning permissions.
9. Identify and resolve site-related issues or conflicts to minimize disruptions to project timelines.

Job Requirements

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in civil construction management, preferably in data center or high-tech infrastructure projects.
2. Relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
3. Chartered status (e.g., MCIOB or ICE) is desirable.
4. Strong understanding of civil construction techniques, including foundations, drainage, site preparation, and heavy infrastructure work.
5. Familiarity with data center-specific requirements is a plus.
6. Proven experience in leading and managing construction teams, resolving conflicts, and driving high performance.
7. In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations with a strong track record of implementing best practices on-site.
8. Strong project management skills, including experience with scheduling, budgeting, and client management.
9. Proficiency in construction management software is a plus.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
11. Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with strict deadlines and evolving project requirements.
