|About the role
The Risk and Compliance Analyst supports the Senior Manager Risk & Compliance and the department with day-to-day Risk Management, Compliance, Governance and Insurance-related activities
|What Youll Do
General
- Assist the Senior Risk and Compliance Manager in various projects and initiatives
- Work with departments to ensure integrated risk management and compliance
- Help with the preparation of risk reports and the drafting of meeting minutes
- Schedule meetings with relevant stakeholders (internal / external)
- Assist with Governance and Insurance-related activities, where required
- Prepare materials for risk and compliance training and awareness sessions
- Keep up to date the Risk Management and Compliance folders and documentation
Risk
- Assist with AEP Risk Management lifecycle and all it entails, where required
Compliance
- Ensure compliance to policies and procedures set across AEP
- Support the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) program
|Minimum Qualifications
- BA degree in Risk Management, Compliance, Business management, or a related field
- 1-3 years experience in risk management, compliance, audit, or a related field
|Technical and Behavioral Skills
- Basic understanding of risk management, compliance, and governance frameworks
- Previous knowledge and working experience, preferably in the financial industry
- Prompt and proactive to identify and resolve operating issues.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills with ability to present thoughts/data in structured manner.
- Flexible, positive and results-oriented attitude, works well with changing timelines and priorities and can proactively manage up
|Preferred Qualifications
- Regional experience in the UAE is preferred.
- Proficiency in written and spoken Arabic is considered a strong asset.
