Solution Architect requirement for Wholesale Banking

Years: 10+ (6+ Years of Experience as Architect)

Qualifications

Core domain and techno-functional competencies:

• Experience with implementation and production support of corporate banking solutions is a MUST.
• Experience in corporate banking products and services is a MUST.
• Experience in core banking systems (Temenos, Finacle, Oracle, etc.) is a MUST.
• Experience in designing and using APIs, microservices, and integration solutions is a MUST.
• Strong experience with implementation and production support for one or more of the below domains.
• Strong experience in the digital journey for corporate banking clients.
• Strong experience in architecting integration of applications to create bespoke solutions for large corporates.
• Take up on-call rotation role and provide 24/7 technical support.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues efficiently, provide root cause analysis, and deliver permanent resolutions.
• Graphical reporting for the health of supported systems.
• Coordination with respective product owner(s) for strategic enhancements to improve the systems’ resilience.

Functional Competencies:

• Understanding of corporate banking products and services.
• Knowledge of UAE banking regulations, Central Bank guidelines, Open Banking, and international banking standards.
• Insight into risk assessment, fraud detection, and mitigation strategies.
• Understanding in payment systems, transaction processing, and settlement mechanisms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex banking challenges.
• Flexibility to adapt to the rapidly changing banking landscape and new technologies.
• Knowledge of best practices for change management and code releases.

Technical Competencies:

• Experience in software development, including proficiency in programming languages (Java, .NET Core, and frameworks).
• Strong hands-on experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and moderate knowledge of NoSQL databases (like MongoDB).
• Proficiency in cloud platforms and cloud architecture (AWS, Azure).
• Experience in designing and using APIs, microservices, and integration solutions.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, data privacy regulations, and security architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation tools.
• Aware of emerging technologies in Fintech, such as blockchain, AI/ML, and digital wallets.
• Proficiency in architectural design tools (Visio, Draw.io).
• Familiarity with project management software (JIRA, Confluence).
