Structural Inspector - Site

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Structural Inspector Site to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of construction projects through onsite inspections and evaluations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough onsite inspections of structural elements in building projects.
• Verify compliance with local building codes, regulations, and approved plans.
• Identify structural defects, safety hazards, and noncompliant work.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address structural issues.
• Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Utilize inspection equipment and tools to assess structural integrity.
• Provide recommendations for corrective actions when necessary.
• Stay updated on local building codes and industry best practices.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• Professional certification in structural inspection (e.g. ICC Structural Inspector certification).
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural inspection or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes and regulations, particularly in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
• Proficiency in structural inspection techniques and methodologies.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Extensive knowledge of construction materials and methods.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in using inspection equipment and tools.
• Computer skills for report writing and data management.
• Understanding of structural engineering principles and practices.
• Detail-oriented approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work onsite and travel to various project locations in Abu Dhabi.
