JOB TITLE

Fresh Food Category Manager | MAF Retail | UAE Corporate Head Office

ROLE SUMMARY

The Category Manager is responsible for coordinating with buyers as well as supporting purchases for MAF Retail. The role holder is also responsible for assisting with selection and examining products that get to store shelves, in catalogues, and online.

ROLE PROFILE

1. Implement effective strategies for sourcing goods and maintaining desired stock levels.
2. Research and suggest new suppliers with long-term cost savings or quality improvement.
3. Engage in sourcing the best quality products for competitive prices aligned with the organization's objectives.
4. Identify profitable suppliers and initiate partnerships.
5. Cultivate relationships with existing and future suppliers.
6. Develop and provide inputs on the risk evaluation of existing and future supply contracts.
7. Utilize network to expand supplier base and attend trade shows to identify new product trends and potential suppliers.
8. Control spending and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics or Business Administration
2. 5-7 years in fresh food category management position
3. Strong business communication and presentation skills
4. Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
