About the Role
We are collaborating with an innovative organisation at the forefront of emerging technologies seeking a Senior Deeptech Investment Analyst to identify and evaluate high-potential opportunities in the Web3 and AI sectors. This role offers the chance to influence investment strategies in deeptech while driving growth and innovation across a portfolio of cutting-edge companies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Analysis & Opportunity Sourcing:
   • Conduct in-depth research on emerging trends, technologies, and market dynamics within Web3 and AI with a focus on their convergence.
   • Identify and source high-potential investment opportunities including startups, scale-ups, and established companies.
2. Investment Evaluation & Portfolio Support:
   • Evaluate potential investments by analysing business models, market opportunities, and scalability to inform decision-making.
   • Monitor portfolio performance, provide insights on key metrics, and support portfolio companies in achieving strategic growth.
3. Strategic Collaboration & Partnerships:
   • Work closely with internal teams and portfolio companies to identify synergies and drive operational improvements.
   • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships to add value to investments and enhance portfolio company performance.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Thought Leadership:
   • Build and nurture relationships with industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and co-investors.
   • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, sharing insights and positioning the organisation as a leader in deeptech investments.

Key Requirements

1. Experience & Expertise:
   • 5-7 years of experience in investment analysis, venture capital, or a related field with a focus on Web3 and AI technologies.
   • Deep understanding of blockchain technologies, AI, and their intersections.
2. Analytical & Market Insight:
   • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends, emerging technologies, and investment opportunities.
3. Communication & Relationship Building:
   • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
   • Proven networking ability to build relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts.
4. Leadership & Adaptability:
   • Experience mentoring or leading junior team members.
   • Flexible and proactive approach thriving in a fast-paced, evolving technology landscape.
5. Educational Background:
   • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g. MBA) are a plus.
