Assistant Store Manager
Job description
Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
- Manage and motivate a team of sales associates, providing guidance, training, and feedback as needed
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process of new employees
- Monitor and maintain store inventory levels, ensuring accurate record keeping and timely replenishment
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times
- Address customer complaints and inquiries, ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving any issues in a timely manner
- Assist with creating and implementing store policies and procedures, ensuring compliance from all staff members
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and goals by actively promoting products and driving sales
- Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to keep employees informed and engaged
- Assist in conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback to the team
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and point-of-sale (POS) systems is preferred
- Ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions based on trends and patterns
- High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree preferred.
