JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Overview:
The Ecommerce Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the online sales strategies of a company. This role involves maintaining and optimizing the company's ecommerce platform, analyzing sales performance, driving customer acquisition, and ensuring a seamless online shopping experience. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on with a strong understanding of ecommerce trends, marketing strategies, and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Ecommerce Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute an ecommerce strategy aligned with business goals.
- Identify opportunities for growth and areas of improvement in online sales.
Platform Management:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the ecommerce platform including product listings, inventory updates, and promotions.
- Coordinate with developers or technical teams to ensure optimal website performance and user experience.
Digital Marketing Integration:
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create campaigns that drive traffic and conversions.
- Implement SEO, SEM, and PPC strategies to improve site visibility.
- Optimize product descriptions and images for better search engine rankings.
Customer Experience:
- Monitor and improve the customer journey on the ecommerce platform.
- Ensure seamless navigation, fast-loading pages, and mobile-friendly design.
Sales Analysis and Reporting:
- Track and analyze key performance metrics including sales conversion rates, traffic, and cart abandonment.
- Prepare regular reports to share insights and recommendations for improving performance.
Product Management:
- Oversee product categorization, pricing, and promotions to ensure competitive positioning.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences.
Vendor and Partner Collaboration:
- Coordinate with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms.
Compliance and Security:
- Ensure the ecommerce platform complies with legal, security, and data privacy standards.
- Stay updated on ecommerce regulations and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in ecommerce management, digital marketing, or related roles.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ecommerce platforms (e.g. Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento).
- Experience with marketplace platforms like Amazon, Talabat, Noon, etc.
- Experience with analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) and marketing tools (e.g. Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager).
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and website management is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with CRM tools and email marketing software.
- Knowledge of UX/UI principles for ecommerce.
