Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent practical experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
- 10 years of experience in accounting or a related function or 8 years with an advanced degree in accounting business or finance.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working in a multinational or global organization.
- Experience accounting in IFRS and US GAAP.
- Knowledge of local financial tax and statistical compliance requirements in Middle Eastern countries particularly Saudi Arabia (KSA).
- Excellent communication and people management skills with the ability to work both separately and collaboratively.

As an Accounting Manager, you will be a key leader within the Africa and Middle East Controllership team focused on driving strong governance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing financial operations across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. You will possess exceptional accounting expertise, strong leadership abilities, and an understanding of the regulatory landscape in the region, particularly in Saudi Arabia (KSA).

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Africa and Middle East Controller to develop and implement a team strategy that prioritizes robust governance, resilience, and compliance with International Controllership standards.
- Oversee the annual statutory financial statements process including managing external audits and ensuring tax compliance.
- Foster relationships with cross-functional teams and business partners across the region to effectively address accounting and financial challenges. Represent the team in communication with Technical Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Trade Compliance, and Logistics on regional issues.
- Identify and advocate for system and process improvements to maintain compliance in specific jurisdictions within a dynamic regulatory environment.
- Provide guidance to the business on risk mitigation strategies and contribute to building a scalable financial infrastructure for the region.
