Project management certification mandatory

Overall 10+ yrs of experience with at least 5 years in UAE.

Experience in education sector will be an added advantage.

Excellent communication & analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  1. Defines and clarifies the project scope, i.e. greenfield and brownfield project.
  2. Develops the project management plan and detailed project brief based on the type of project including the schedule, policies and procedures to support the project objectives.
  3. Obtains the necessary approvals and works closely with the end user to understand the initial space planning.
  4. Reviews the proposals and materials developed by the consultants and architects with respect to the design criteria and project brief.
  5. Monitors the development of the project design to ensure adherence to the established project goals and objectives.
  6. Defines the procurement strategy and manages the entire process of project procurement tendering, technical and commercial evaluation, award of work and contract agreement.
  7. Conducts regular design meetings to ensure continuous adherence to the established project goals and objectives.
  8. Generates monthly project reports and presents it to the management for review, creates dashboard to communicate project materials to the governing board, and conducts exception-based reporting when required.
  9. Reviews the progress on a daily basis and ensures timeliness from vendors.
  10. Surveys the site and conducts on-site supervision to manage the work of the contractors and suppliers in accordance with the signed agreements.
  11. Responsible for quality control and manages the construction process to ensure the contractor delivers the contracted scope and quality of goods and services within the required time and budget.
  12. Manages the interrelationships of contractors to ensure all work access and resource availability is properly coordinated.
  13. Plans and manages the site logistics services provided by the general contractors including access, storage, movement of workers, material and construction vehicles, site accommodation, welfare utilities, fire protection services, medical and first aid facilities, emergency routes, site security and EHS standards.
  14. Obtains the necessary approvals from the local authorities.
  15. Conducts training for the Operations team and hands over the relevant project documents.
  16. Works closely with internal and external stakeholders through each phase of the project, from project initiation to handover.
  17. Responsible for training and mentoring new members on the team.
  18. Collaborates proactively with Human Resource to continuously increase competency within the team to meet future organizational needs through the development and recruitment of talent.
  19. Assists in the recruitment, selection, orientation, and training of employees in the project team.

Additional Information

MBA preferred.
