As an Electrical Inspector for our innovative wastewater infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi, you will play a critical role in our comprehensive asset validation and condition assessment initiative. Your expertise will be instrumental in evaluating and enhancing the electrical systems of our water and wastewater facilities, ensuring their reliability and efficiency.
Conduct thorough inspections of electrical installations in water and wastewater plants, including pump stations and sewerage treatment plants (STPs)
Perform detailed assessments of electrical panel boards, MDBs, motors, and other electrical equipment, accurately recording and reporting their condition
Inspect LV Panel boards, MV/LV cables, and associated electrical systems
Participate in installation and commissioning activities for electrical power systems
Interpret electrical drawings to efficiently locate and evaluate equipment in the field
Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement consistent assessment methodologies for electrical assets
Contribute to the creation of standardized protocols for seamless integration of condition data
Provide actionable insights to inform maintenance strategies and capital planning for electrical infrastructure
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements in all inspection activities
Travel to and work at various sites across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra regions as required
Here's what you'll need
Qualified electrician with a degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution
Approximately 5 years of experience in electrical installations for water and wastewater plants
Proven track record in inspection, installation, and commissioning of electrical power systems (LV Panel boards, MDBs, motors)
Demonstrated ability to assess and accurately record the condition of electrical equipment
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings for pump stations and sewerage treatment plants
Experience with HV/MV and MEICA systems is highly desirable
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in field conditions
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Willingness to travel and work at various sites across the region
