Mechanical Technical Office Engineer

Basic Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Minimum 5 years relevant experience in site execution of projects with at least 2 years in a similar Project Mechanical Technical Engineer position preferably within UAE.
3. Experience in construction drawing preparation of mechanical services for high rise buildings and luxury villas.
4. Must have thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Role Knowledge

1. Strong expertise in HVAC, Plumbing, and FF system site installation design with a track record of successful project delivery.
2. Strong experience in Mechanical designs to local and international standards.
3. Proficiency in using CAD for coordination reviews.
4. Guide and review mechanical shop drawings, coordination and BW drawings prepared by draughtsman, derive demand load calculations, sizing major equipment, ESP and head calculations, discipline coordination, tie-in points checks, and high-rise building specific service requirements.
5. Review structural and architectural drawings and identify clashes with MEP openings.
6. Maintain an accurate log of revisions and sequence of events during the shop drawing preparation stage till approval.
7. Familiarity with UAE local codes and international standards e.g., UPC, ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, BS.
8. Preparation of technical documentation and securing approvals for different project phases including shop drawings, equipment selection, and calculations.
9. Review of design/IFC documents prepared by consultants and preparation of RFIs.
10. Review/submit technical submittals related to all Mechanical works.
