JobPurpose
The Associate Director Digital Product is responsible for leading the design, development, and execution across all websites at Modon and the Modon mobile app. The purpose of the role is to ensure seamless and innovative digital experiences that are fully aligned with Modon CX strategy ensuring they meet product goals (eg adoption, conversion, engagement) and user needs.
Roles, Responsibilities, Duties
Digital Product Strategy
- Define and execute digital product strategy aligned with CX strategy, agreed business goals and customer needs.
- Develop a long-term roadmap for the mobile app and websites
- Champion a customer-centric approach, using data and insights to inform digital product decisions.
- Lead and inspire cross-functional digital teams, including product managers, designers, developers, and business analysts.
Mobile App & Website Design & Development
- Oversee the design, development, enhancement, and performance of Modon mobile app and all websites.
- Ensure a seamless omnichannel experience, integrating digital and physical touchpoints where applicable.
- Drive adoption, engagement, and retention by optimizing user experience (UX), user interface (UI), and personalization.
- Lead initiatives to enhance customer journeys, leveraging AI, automation, and personalization.
- Identify emerging technologies and trends to keep the digital ecosystem ahead of competitors.
- Champion accessibility, performance, and security in all digital products.
Data-Driven Decision Making & Performance Optimization
- Define and track KPIs for digital product performance, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Leverage analytics, A/B testing, and user feedback to optimize engagement and conversion rates.
- Work closely with data science teams to implement AI/ML-driven personalization and recommendations.
Agile Product Development & Execution
- Implement agile product development methodologies to drive speed and efficiency.
- Prioritize and manage digital product backlogs, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Foster a test-and-learn culture to accelerate innovation.
Compliance, Security & Risk Management
- Ensure digital platforms comply with regulatory requirements, including data privacy
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to mitigate digital risks and enhance security protocols.
Vendor & Technology Partnerships
- Manage relationships with external partners, including technology vendors, agencies, and third-party platforms.
- Evaluate and implement best-in-class technology solutions for digital products.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA or a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is highly preferred.
- Certifications in Agile and Digital Product Management are a plus.
Experience:
- 12-15+ years of experience in digital product management, with a strong track record in websites and mobile apps.
- Leadership experience in large, complex businesses, preferably in consumer-facing industries
- Proven ability to define and execute digital product strategies
- Hands-on experience in managing digital initiatives, including platform migrations, technology selection, and new feature rollouts.
- Background in agile product development, working with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI, engineering, and marketing.
- Experience in leveraging AI, data analytics, and personalization to drive digital engagement.
Competencies:
- Deep understanding of mobile app development (iOS, Android) and web technologies.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, APIs, and digital ecosystems.
- Familiarity with AI/ML, automation, and data-driven personalization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in agile delivery, product roadmaps, backlog prioritization, and iterative development.
- Strong understanding of user experience (UX), design thinking, and customer journeys.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to influence senior executives and cross-functional teams.
