Field Market Access Manager

This position works out of our UAE location in the Abbott Nutrition Division.

As Field Market Access Manager, you'll be responsible for:

  • Implementing strategic partnership and market access strategy at the assigned MA authorities or regional/hospital formulary listing committees.
  • Developing, communicating, and executing the value strategies that address questions and influence key decision-makers.
  • Leading the ANI Governmental Reimbursement process, from defining the right Access Strategy to Formulary addition.
  • Building trusted and strategic relations with key stakeholders and exploring partnership opportunities.
  • Seeking opportunities to do partnership programs with private insurance to drive more product reimbursement.
  • Driving the design and implementation of brand Access strategy and plan execution.

What You'll Do:

  • Visit and engage assigned MA authorities and customers on a regular basis (70% of Time):
    - Public sector Payers relevant for market access decision-making
    - Pricing and/or Reimbursement authorities
    - HTA (Health Technology Assessment) Agencies
    - Experts and advisors to MA authorities
  • Strategic account planning to build distinguished quality access and sustainable win-win partnership.
  • Map decision-making process and criteria, regularly monitor and update.
  • Perform systematic stakeholder mapping, gain thorough understanding of formal and informal decision-making.
  • Understand the account needs at organizational and decision-makers levels.
  • Lay out short- and long-term account access vision, goals, key strategies and tactics.
  • Lead the execution of strategic partnerships at the assigned MA authorities/committees.
  • Proper integration of key risks & opportunities, strategies & tactics into country MAP.
  • Monitor competitors’ strategies and prepare appropriate Market access responses.
  • Improve access policies and conditions by monitoring closely changing dynamics in terms of access policies & conditions.
  • Identify areas to move from low(est) price-based to value-based decision-making.
  • Identify and execute payer value-added programs based on strategic account planning.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Science/Pharmacy/Medical related field or appropriate tertiary qualification.
  • Strong marketing and sales track record in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience in the market access area with a strong understanding of the UAE Market is preferred.
  • Experience working in a multinational company with a matrix organization.
  • Ability to interpret and integrate Market Access strategies into actionable, value-added planning activities.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills and strong ability to develop relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Professional behavior with “can-do” and “open mind” attitudes.
  • Winning mentality, dynamic, innovative, customer focus and cross-functional team player.
