Job description

JOB OBJECTIVE:

The Content Manager for Events & Festivals Marketing is responsible for developing and executing content strategies for events and festivals across digital platforms, including websites, apps, and email communications, enhancing audience engagement, and supporting marketing objectives. This role involves optimizing content across multiple platforms, managing collaborations, and leveraging analytics to drive performance in alignment with organizational goals.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Content Strategy & Development

  • Develop and implement content strategies tailored for a portfolio of events and festivals in Dubai, in collaboration with Campaign Leads and Operations teams, ensuring alignment with the calendar of events (COE) and festival-specific objectives.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality digital content for websites, apps, email communications (EDMs) and content partners
  • Work closely with campaign, social, and consumer marketing (C2C) leads to ensure consistent festival messaging across all channels.
  • Support content development of marketing collateral such as guides, PDFs, infographics, multimedia assets and radio ads
  • Facilitate brainstorming sessions to generate innovative and engaging content ideas, exploring new formats

Content Production & Management

  • Oversee delivery of all digital content production and publishing from end-to-end for events and festivals
  • Handle content management in both English and Arabic, ensuring linguistic and cultural accuracy.
  • Manage translations of content in Arabic and other languages as required
  • Project manage digital initiatives, including content and design aspects, for platforms like the standalone DEF website.
  • Ensure adherence to standards for content creation, distribution and measurement for owned and partner channels
  • Ensure all content aligns with DETs branding and communication guidelines.
  • Manage the incorporation of feedback to improve the quality of digital content across formats and form factors (e.g. editorial, articles and newsletters)
  • Ensure content is on-brand, consistent with corporate quality standards, optimised for search and user engagement
  • Optimize content for Google locations, actively monitoring user feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Manage content partnerships for each festival, collaborating with internal teams to maximise reach and impact.

User Experience (UX) & Content Design

  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure content is structured effectively for digital platforms, improving readability and engagement.
  • Optimize content layouts and visual storytelling for websites, apps, and email communications to enhance user experience.
  • Implement best practices for accessibility and usability, ensuring all digital content meets industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Product Manager on A/B testing on content and layouts to improve engagement and conversion rates.
