CH2M HILL Lead Civil/Structural Engineer - Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Purpose:
To lead a team of Sr. Engineers, Engineers, Sr. Designers, Designers & Draftsmen.

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

1. Lead independently a team of Sr. Engineers/Engineers, Sr. Designers/Designers & Draftsmen within discipline;
2. Ensure effective communications and coordination between all supervised staff, Lead Engineers of other departments and Project Managers, to ensure mutual awareness of requirements and sharing of information.

Job Requirements/Qualifications/Experience:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
2. 15+ years of experience in professional civil/structural engineering, involving design, planning, checking, general management and supervisory responsibility in oil & gas industry;
3. Must have worked at least 5 years as Senior Engineer, supervising and guiding a team of engineers & designers;
4. Experience in reviewing Key Deliverables prepared by Civil/Structural team or produced by other work-share offices;
5. Has clearly demonstrated strong engineering competence, interpersonal/team building skills & leadership skills;
6. Thorough knowledge of industry practices, codes and standards applicable to structural engineering. Working knowledge in general civil works like grading, paving, roads, drainage systems and other underground services;
7. Hands-on experience in industry software, such as STAAD Pro, SAP, 3D Model Review Tools (SPR & NavisWorks), MathCAD, Foundation 3D, MS Office Suite, etc.;
8. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation and 3D Modeling Tools (PDS, SP3D, PDMS, CadWorx, AutoPlant, etc.);
9. Should have excellent communication skills essential for Client, Interdisciplinary and Vendor coordination, and coordination with other work-share offices.
