HSE Specialist
Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with local and international standards.
- Ensure that HSE policies are communicated to all employees and contractors.
- Regularly review and update HSE policies to reflect changes in regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential HSE risks.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and control measures.
- Monitor the effectiveness of risk control measures and make necessary adjustments.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs and workshops for employees and contractors.
- Promote HSE awareness through campaigns, meetings, and other communication channels.
- Ensure that all personnel are aware of their HSE responsibilities and are trained in emergency response procedures.
- Investigate HSE incidents, accidents, and near misses to identify root causes.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Track and ensure the implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the energy sector.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HSE management software and tools.
