Business Development Manager 100% (m/f) The ideal candidate will cover a managerial role, reporting directly to the Regional Business Development Director of the group.
Responsibilities:
Lead business development efforts in GCC and especially in UAE from identifying, through to securing contracts by developing, negotiating, and closing new business opportunities across the sectors.
Develop business development strategy focused on financial growth, client satisfaction and market expansion.
Take charge of securing registrations, prequalification and invitations to tender, primarily for public clients, with the support of an assistant for document preparation.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients and partners, via regular meetings with government entities, contractors, engineering and consultancy firms.
Identify and engage with JV / Consortium Partners, directly negotiate commercial terms and conditions in partnership agreements.
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure success during and post tender stages and monitoring & reporting progress at the weekly bid review meetings.
Promote the company's services addressing or predicting clients' objectives while actively contributing to bid submissions and pitches.
Gather timely market intelligence to guide decisions from the early stages of a project through tender preparation and post-tender negotiations.
Ensure the successful negotiation and closure of transactions, including contract negotiations for commercial terms and conditions.
Enthusiastically pursue diversifications opportunities to expand the company's market presence, in line with global strategies.
Attendance of relevant events and maintenance of a high profile within the industry.
Requirements:
The candidate should have business development experience for at least 10 years in engineering and consultancy.
A strong understanding of the project development and procurement lifecycle, market key players and project execution lifecycle is essential.
Demonstrable track record of business development across a variety of sectors.
The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in business development of specialty in engineering and consultancy sector with current or recent direct exposure to the UAE and wider MENA market.
Knowledge of project bidding to RFP's and financial modelling basic skills will be an added advantage.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English is essential and knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
Must be familiar with international business practices and possess experience in market development.
Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities.
Team leader/player with good interpersonal communication skill and professional attitude.
Sociable and adept at building and maintaining professional relationships, essential for a Business Development role.
