The Head of Training Standards (HoTS) coordinates globally within the BAT/HAT network to ensure training delivery by managing Instructor and Examiner quality, capacity and strategic planning in coordination with the Global Head of Training EASA for EASA, UK CAA and FCL-compliant other NAA's globally.
Additional management duties include audit support, strategic operations planning, supervision and proactive management of training delivery to assure all training activities are delivered in conformance with the ATO approval, defined standard processes, and customer contracts, and that the highest standards of safety, compliance and training quality are maintained.
The Role We Are Offering You:
- Proactively plan and engage with Operations to ensure Instructor and Examiner qualifications meet demand globally.
- Represent and act on behalf of the Global Head of Training EASA/UK CAA.
- Support, supervise, guide and lead the ground school and flight simulation training instructors for EASA or UK CAA mentorship.
- In collaboration with the Global Head of Training, manage instructor performance issues through local Training Manager or Center Leader support.
- Through the Training Managers, ground-school and flight simulation instructors ensure that training is carried out in strict adherence to approved Operations and Training Manuals, SOPs and approved syllabi.
- Promote the compliance & safety culture of the company and SMS & Non-Compliance reporting.
- Partner with the Sales Team to assist with potential client needs.
Our Ideal Candidate Has:
- EASA or other ICAO license.
- EASA instructor qualification 900(a) or (c).
- Proven record of management experience in multi-cultural, regional or global remit.
- Extensive experience in delivering flight training for the scope of responsibility with years, types and number of instructional hours commensurate with the scope of the centres activities.
- Business Aviation or training center experience.
- Former or current SFI/SFE/TRI/TRE (preferred).
