TheAssistant Export Managersupports the Export Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing export activities. This role involves managing logistics, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, liaising with clients and suppliers, and maintaining a smooth flow of operations to achieve business objectives. The Taif Al Emarat Head Office is located at Ajman near Car Souq.
Key Responsibilities:
Export Operations Management:
- Assist in planning and organizing the shipment of goods to international markets.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transport companies for timely delivery.
- Oversee documentation requirements for export, including invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and export licenses.
Compliance and Regulations:
- Ensure adherence to international trade laws, export regulations, and company policies.
- Stay updated on global trade regulations and advise on potential impacts to the business.
- Manage compliance with customs regulations and resolve any issues with customs clearance.
Customer and Supplier Liaison:
- Communicate with international clients to understand requirements and resolve queries.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement and dispatch of goods.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in the export process.
Logistics and Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to fulfill export orders.
- Track shipments and provide updates to clients on delivery timelines.
- Address and resolve logistical challenges to ensure smooth operations.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to export operations.
- Prepare regular reports on export activities, costs, and trends.
- Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions.
- Work closely with the Export Manager and other departments, including sales, finance, and operations.
- Assist in training and guiding junior team members on export procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Logistics, or related field.
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in export, logistics, or supply chain roles.
Knowledge: Familiarity with international trade laws, shipping terms (Incoterms), and export documentation.
Technical Skills:Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems; knowledge of freight management software is an advantage.
Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle international correspondence.
Problem-Solving:Ability to manage and resolve operational challenges effectively.
Organization:Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Language Skills:Proficiency in additional languages (preferably those relevant to the company’s markets) is a plus.
