This role will be working closely with Planning & Control Manager and Project Managers and take responsibility for resource planning leveling and progress monitoring for projects.
Assist and take major responsibilities on proposals planning during the tendering stage.
Functionally reporting to the General Manager and on budget required for a team budget at completion calculating and estimating cash flow and cost/budget variance analysis.
Manage project work approvals in terms of accurate cost code allocation and initial execution budget setup and approvals. Monitor and control the cost and develop invoicing procedures to customers/clients.
Day to day responsibilities:
Prepare the Master and Construction schedule.
Generate Monthly (MPR), Weekly (WPR), and Daily (DPR) reports on operational activities.
Develop an internal schedule to identify & track the major milestones to achieve the project completion date.
Monitor and update the project schedule on a weekly and monthly basis.
Establish Progress Measurement System (PMS) & prepare Deliverable Status Registers.
Coordinate work between disciplines and subcontractors.
Identify risks & plan risk responses.
Plan and coordinate material & resource/manpower. Conduct critical path analysis.
Prepare Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
Develop and update resource histogram weekly or monthly as required.
Prepare project cash flow & actual comparison.
Prepare look ahead schedule.
Study and analyze planned progress vs actual progress.
Prepare recovery schedule to catch up the completion date.
Prepare Progress Payment Certificate (PPC) and Request for Invoice (RFI).
Analyze actual costs vs control budget during all phases of the Project and maintain budget at completion forecasts.
Work closely with Head of Projects, Project Managers, and Sr. Project Engineers and manage the project work approval process in terms of accurate cost code allocation and initial budget setup and approvals.
Determine forecast final costs based on available information in terms of quantities and unit rates and produce and issue updates on project cost forecasts and report to Project Management and General Manager.
Produce Project Planning closeout report and Productivity calculation. Prepare project claims extension of time (EOT).
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical Instrumentation or Mechanical) with a minimum of 7 years in the Oil & Gas industry. Affinity and familiarity with Engineering Procurement and Contracting aspects in the business both onshore and offshore.
