Mechanical Design Engineer

• Position - Mechanical Design Engineer

• Salary - 15,000 AED

Key Responsibilities:

HVAC Responsibilities:

• Perform design calculations, including heat load analysis, CHW pump head, external static pressure (ESP), duct sizing, and CHW pipe sizing.
• Coordinate with district cooling authorities (Tabreed, Emicool, Empower) to ensure system integration and compliance.
• Select and evaluate air-cooled chillers based on project requirements.
• Assess and review air-side equipment and associated technical documentation.
• Determine and implement air outlet selections for optimal airflow distribution.
• Validate CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis for basement ventilation and fan performance.

Plumbing Responsibilities:

• Calculate transfer and booster pump capacity and head for effective water distribution.
• Perform sizing calculations for water tanks, sump pits, and piping networks.
• Conduct calorifier and domestic water chiller load assessments.
• Compute loading unit calculations to ensure adequate water supply and drainage capacity.

General Responsibilities:

• Liaise with local authorities for approvals and compliance with mechanical system regulations.
• Review and approve material submittals for HVAC and plumbing components.
• Analyze structural and architectural drawings and incorporate mechanical layouts accordingly.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and on-site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare raft work and builder's work drawings for construction projects.
• Ensure adherence to international mechanical system standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and other relevant codes).
