Industrial Designer
Job description
Responsibilities
- Develop design concepts and prototypes for new products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand project goals
- Conduct market research to identify current design trends and consumer preferences
- Create 2D and 3D models of product designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders and gather feedback
- Modify designs based on feedback and ensure that all specifications are met
- Work closely with engineers and manufacturers to ensure that designs are manufacturable and cost-effective
- Conduct usability tests and gather user feedback to refine designs
- Stay up-to-date with emerging design trends and technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or a related field
- Proven experience as an Industrial Designer or a similar role
- Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Rhino
- Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and ergonomics
- Excellent sketching and visualization skills
- Strong creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Portfolio showcasing previous design projects and concepts
