Retail Sommelier - UAE

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the wine stock levels always in the retail stores.
• Recommend and suggest appropriate wines to the customer according to their taste and preference.
• Conduct wine tastings for the customer and staff within the store along with the Marketing department.
• Educate and train staff on wine.
• Inform guests about different varieties of wines and prices.
• Ensure wines are served at the right temperature and within the proper shelves in the retail stores.
• Curate and update the wine list in the store.
• Maintain a good rapport with wine principals.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

• Experience as a Sommelier in the Hotel/Retail industry.
• Extensive knowledge of different wines and which regions produce each type.
• Knowledge of different vineyards and wineries.
• Certification as a sommelier (WSET level 2).
