Cost Control Engineer

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for engineering? Do you thrive in dynamic environments where your analytical skills can make a real impact? If so, we want you on our team! Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Cost Control Engineer! In this role you will be responsible for managing project budgets, monitoring expenditures and ensuring financial efficiency to keep engineering projects on track and within budget.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Developing and maintaining project cost control systems and procedures.
2. Collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate cost estimation and budgeting. Preparing project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
3. Developing work breakdown structures (WBS), interfacing with Procurement, Engineering, and Finance Departments as needed.
4. Analyzing, monitoring and reporting project expenditures and identify cost variances.
5. Preparing project invoices and ensuring timely submission and posting.
6. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
7. Tracking and reporting on project financial performance, including earned value analysis.
8. Supporting project scheduling and resource allocation to optimize costs.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or other Engineering related field.
2. At least 7+ years of related work experience.
3. Strong understanding of cost control principles and financial management and proficiency in cost control software and financial analysis tools within the construction or engineering industries.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, professional growth, and a strong work ethic.
6. A collaborative professional with excellent interpersonal skills, strong analytical abilities, and high attention to detail.
7. Proficient with MS Office and have advanced Excel knowledge.
