Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer - Civil to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction and supervision of a sewerage network and pumping station project, ensuring that it is completed according to the approved design and specifications, and in compliance with local regulations and ADSSC requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Resident Engineer in managing the construction project, including coordinating with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
2. Review and approve construction drawings, materials, and method statements.
3. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
4. Monitor project progress and report on any issues or delays.
5. Coordinate with the client and obtain necessary approvals from ADSSC.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
7. Prepare and review project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and payment certificates.
8. Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team.
9. Assist in resolving any technical issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
10. Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status and issues.
11. Ensure that all project activities are carried out in accordance with Stantec's quality management system.
12. Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction supervision of sewerage networks and pumping stations.
3. Previous experience working in the United Arab Emirates is preferred.
4. Familiarity with ADSSC regulations and approval processes.
5. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and materials.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
9. Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
