We have a great opportunity for an experienced Duty Engineer to join the team in our Engineering Department. The successful applicant will join a dynamic team of engineering professionals.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Duty Engineer or in a similar capacity.
• Experience in 5* Hospitality industry will be an added advantage.
• Has a Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• An Efficient person with Attention to detail.
• A warm and friendly character with Problem Solving skills.
• Has a passion for Engineering.
• Enjoys taking on a new challenge.
• Willing to work on shift basis.
• Communicates with fluency in English.
• Lives and breathes the Shangri-La values.

What will you do?

• Manage, coach and supervise the engineering technicians.
• Ensure all equipment runs smoothly at all times.
• Carry out and prioritise emergency work requests.
• Support engineering projects through planning, supervision and execution.
• Support the audit and training programmes.
• Implement and maintain Health and Safety standards and promote safety initiatives.
• Supervises all specialist contractors, testing of systems identified, in accordance with the standard monthly checklist.
• Maintains all records of testing, maintenance, and remedial work related to Engineering team.
