Driver - Heavy Vehicle

We are seeking a professional and responsible Heavy Vehicle Driver to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Heavy Vehicle Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining large commercial vehicles while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods or materials
• Plan and optimize routes for timely deliveries
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle conditions
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
• Report any accidents, injuries, or vehicle maintenance issues promptly
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
• Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and cleaning tasks
• Stay informed about local traffic patterns and road conditions in Abu Dhabi and surrounding areas

Qualifications:

• Valid heavy vehicle driver's license
• Clean driving record with no major violations
• Minimum of 5 years of experience driving heavy vehicles
• Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
• Proficiency in operating various types of heavy vehicles
• Strong understanding of safe driving techniques and defensive driving
• Basic vehicle maintenance skills
• Excellent time management and route planning abilities
• Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
• Physical ability to load and unload cargo when necessary
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
• Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns in Abu Dhabi and surrounding areas
• Defensive driving certification (preferred)
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
