Job Description

We are seeking a professional and responsible Heavy Vehicle Driver to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Heavy Vehicle Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining large commercial vehicles while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

1. Operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods or materials
2. Plan and optimize routes for timely deliveries
3. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
4. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle conditions
5. Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo
6. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
7. Report any accidents, injuries, or vehicle maintenance issues promptly
8. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
9. Assist with basic vehicle maintenance and cleaning tasks
10. Stay informed about local traffic patterns and road conditions in Abu Dhabi and surrounding areas

Qualifications

1. Valid heavy vehicle driver's license
2. Clean driving record with no major violations
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience driving heavy vehicles
4. Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
5. Proficiency in operating various types of heavy vehicles
6. Strong understanding of safe driving techniques and defensive driving
7. Basic vehicle maintenance skills
8. Excellent time management and route planning abilities
9. Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
10. Physical ability to load and unload cargo when necessary
11. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
12. Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns in Abu Dhabi and surrounding areas
13. Defensive driving certification (preferred)
14. Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
15. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
