Driver - Heavy Duty

We are seeking a professional and responsible Heavy Vehicle Driver to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Heavy Vehicle Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across the region.

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy vehicles such as trucks, trailers, or semitrailers to transport goods to designated locations.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while on the road.
• Plan and optimize routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and any incidents or delays.
• Assist with loading and unloading of cargo when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Adapt to various weather conditions and maintain safe driving practices at all times.
• Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and the public.

Qualifications:

• Valid heavy vehicle driving license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience driving heavy vehicles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of traffic rules and regulations, particularly in the UAE.
• Proven track record of safe driving and adherence to transportation laws.
• Basic vehicle maintenance skills.
• Proficiency in using GPS navigation systems.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Physical ability to assist with loading and unloading when required.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends if needed.
• Familiarity with Dubai's road network and traffic patterns preferred.
• Additional certifications such as Hazardous Materials endorsement are a plus.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions typical of Dubai.
• Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
