Draftsman Electrical Instrumentation EI
Job description
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and layouts for electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Create wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, panel layouts, and cable routing plans.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to ADNOC specifications, industry codes, and UAE regulations.
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers and project managers.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and contractors to gather information and clarify design requirements.
- Coordinate with other drafting teams for integrated project deliverables.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documentation.
- Provide support for as-built documentation during project completion.
- Review drawings to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with project scope.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between design drawings and project requirements.
- Assist in site surveys and data collection to incorporate field conditions into designs.
- Provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an E&I Draftsman, preferably in the Oil and Gas sector.
- ADNOC projects experience is preferable.
- Expertise in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar drafting software.
- Familiarity with E&I standards such as IEC, NEC, and ADNOC guidelines.
- Understanding of P&IDs, SLDs, and control system architecture.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
