Job Description
DRAFTING
Create detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Follow specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.
Expertise in Structural, Mechanical, and Piping drawings is preferred.
Prepare both rough sketches and detailed work with CADD systems.
Perform calculations for materials and weight limitations.
Communicate with architects and engineers, incorporating knowledge gained into drawings.
Prepare, review, and redraft alongside the engineering team.
Ensure final designs are compliant with building regulations.
Identify and communicate potential design problems to the rest of the team.
Provide support to other users regarding AutoCAD, 3D, and similar software.
Produce drawings from surveyed data and supplied as-builts using AutoCAD software.
Develop Installation Design Plans (IDPs), As-built's, and Installation Requirement Drawings (IRDs), 2D drawings, and isometric details utilizing AutoCAD.
Be versatile in AutoCAD and/or Inventor 3D design software packages.
Hold AutoCAD Certification.
Support the engineering team in generating the necessary secondary engineering schematics, terminal plans, cable schedules, component lists, and assembly drawings.
Review and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers and project managers, maintaining clear communication throughout the process.
Organize and maintain document control systems for all project-related documents, ensuring easy access and tracking.
Generate and distribute reports on document status, revisions, and approvals to keep all stakeholders informed.
Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely submission of documents and adherence to project timelines.
Implement and enforce document control procedures to mitigate risks of miscommunication and errors.
Assist in the preparation of project specifications and scope of work documents.
Conduct regular audits of documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Support project teams with the preparation of presentation materials and documentation for client meetings.
Stay updated on advancements in drafting technologies and industry practices to continuously improve work efficiency.
Desired Candidate Profile
BSc/DME/B.E in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a degree from a technical college.
Knowledge of Primavera or other planning tools is an added advantage.
