Job Description

Job Purpose

The job holder will be responsible for enhancing the sales team’s performance, productivity, and efficiency. This role involves developing and executing sales performance strategies, analyzing key performance metrics, and implementing innovative solutions to consistently achieve the organization’s sales objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

Sales Performance Strategy

  • Support Head of Sales to develop and execute sales performance strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
  • Design frameworks to assess and improve the effectiveness of sales processes, tools, and training to enhance operational efficiency and drive better results.

Performance Metrics and Analysis

  • Establish KPIs and benchmarks to evaluate individual and team sales performance, ensuring clear standards to track progress and success.
  • Regularly analyze sales data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities, enabling data-driven decisions that support business growth.
  • Present actionable insights and recommendations to leadership based on performance metrics to refine strategies and improve revenue performance.
  • Partner with sales leaders to identify training and development needs for the sales team.
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to design and deliver impactful sales training programs that address skill gaps and enhance team capabilities.
  • Oversee the rollout of sales tools and ensure adoption to improve productivity and sales effectiveness.

Incentive and Rewards Programs

  • Develop and manage incentive programs that align with business objectives and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of reward programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure they remain impactful and aligned with organizational goals.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to align sales strategies with broader company initiatives, ensuring a cohesive approach to achieving business success.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and open communication within the sales department to create a positive, high-performing team environment.

Qualifications, Experiences, Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field; Master’s Degree - Preferred.
  • Relevant Certification in Sales Management or related - Preferred.
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience, with at least 4 years experience in a management role in sales performance, sales strategy, or a related role.

Job Specific Skills:

  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), sales analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to develop and execute sales performance strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Proficiency in analyzing sales data, setting KPIs, and deriving actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve high performance and foster collaboration.
  • Expertise in designing and delivering training programs and driving adoption of sales tools.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder collaboration and presenting insights.
  • Strong critical thinking and innovative approach to addressing sales performance challenges.
  • Effective in working with cross-functional teams.
