Job description

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provide answers to product and payment-related queries.
  2. Resolve customer complaints.
  3. Refer customers to the right person to answer queries and deal with any problems.
  4. Accurately process sales using cash registers, scanners, or equipment.
  5. Accept cash, checks, and bankcards for payment.
  6. Process payments according to company procedure.
  7. Provide change for cash payments.
  8. Issue receipts for payments received.
  9. Accurately calculate discounts and special offers.
  10. Stay up to date on all promotions and special offers.
  11. Issue refunds and credits.
  12. Process returns and exchanges.
  13. Redeem food stamps and coupons.
  14. Ensure sufficient change is available.
  15. Balance sales and receipts according to company procedure.
  16. Maintain accurate records of transactions.
  17. Bag, box, and wrap merchandise.
  18. May be required to assist in other areas such as shelf stocking, product display, pricing, and clean-up.
  19. Maintain a neat, tidy, and orderly work area.
