Division Manager – Steel Structures

We are Hiring for Division Manager - Steel Structures

Mandatory Requirements:

1. Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
2. Minimum 15 years or more experience in a similar role in the Industry
3. Strong knowledge of steel structure design, fabrication, and erection processes
4. Experience in executing projects valued at AED 50 Million or above
5. Knowledge of UAE construction regulations, authorities, and standards
6. Adequate knowledge in contracts and project risk management.
7. Experience in working with leading construction consultants

Job Description (JD):

1. Monitoring steel fabrication & installation build progress, overseeing budget and ensuring project quality
2. Making strategic decisions and providing leadership and direction to team to implement those decisions
3. Manage the steel estimation team & sales teams
4. Identifying opportunities and preparing bids to coordinate with various departments and ensuring a seamless handover.
5. Lead the team to win new contracts and grow a business through formal tendering opportunities
6. Manage the design team, engineering and steel detailing activities whenever needed
7. Contract with outside design consultants/agencies as needed for Design & Build scope
8. Evaluate the capabilities, appoint and manage the sub-contractors and key suppliers
9. Plan, control and execute the projects by using MS Project / Primavera
10. Managing risks to avoid delays or reputational damage
11. Track planned effort against actual effort and make changes as needed
12. Manage the construction managers and engineers to make sure work is being done properly
13. Create budget and monitor the same to ensure you keep to the budget
14. Make alternative plans if initial project planning is inadequate
