Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Statutory Audit & Consulting Services to join our team. With a strong consulting background and over 10 years of experience in statutory audits, you will lead audit engagements, drive business development, and provide strategic advice on complex accounting, financial, and regulatory issues. This is a leadership role where you will be expected to drive the firm's audit and consulting services, foster client relationships, and contribute to the firm's growth in the UAE market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Strategy: Lead the statutory audit and consulting practice, driving the development and execution of strategies to grow the business, improve service offerings, and maintain the highest standards in audit and consulting services.
• Client Consulting & Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic advice on financial reporting, internal controls, corporate governance, and compliance. Provide actionable insights to improve clients' operational and financial performance.
• Complex Audit Engagements: Oversee and manage complex statutory audits for diverse clients, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, IFRS, IAS, and other relevant accounting frameworks. Lead audits from planning through to completion, ensuring the highest quality standards.
• Business Development & Relationship Management: Identify new business opportunities, expand existing client relationships, and drive business growth. Lead business development efforts, including the preparation of proposals, presentations, and client pitches.
• Consulting Projects: Oversee consulting projects related to financial transformation, risk management, internal controls, M&A, and regulatory compliance. Develop tailored solutions to meet client needs and address business challenges.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop audit and consulting teams. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and excellence. Ensure high levels of engagement and performance across the team.
• Risk & Compliance Management: Advise clients on the latest regulatory developments and ensure all audit engagements are conducted in accordance with local laws and international standards. Identify and mitigate risks in client operations and financial reporting.
• Operational Excellence: Manage budgets for audit and consulting engagements, ensuring profitability and operational efficiency. Oversee the development and implementation of best practices and streamlined processes.
• Thought Leadership: Stay up to date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices. Contribute to the firm's thought leadership by presenting at industry events and producing white papers, articles, and reports.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including clients, senior leadership, and regulatory bodies. Represent the firm at client meetings, conferences, and networking events.

Qualifications:

• Education: CA
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in statutory audit and consulting, with at least 5 years in a senior management or director role in a leading consultancy or audit firm.
• Consulting Expertise: Extensive experience in providing consulting services across areas such as financial transformation, risk management, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and process optimization.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of UAE regulations, IFRS, IAS, and other financial reporting standards. Knowledge of audit and consulting tools, software, and methodologies.
• Business Development: Proven track record in business development and growing a portfolio of clients, including experience in preparing proposals and client presentations.
• Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and driving collaborative success.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to provide innovative and practical solutions to complex business challenges, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Client-Focused: Ability to manage and grow client relationships, act as a trusted advisor, and deliver results that exceed client expectations.
