Director Portfolio Management/Planning

Our client, a real estate holding company, is looking for a Director of Portfolio Planning. This professional will lead the strategic budgeting and financial planning for a prominent real estate group with multiple divisions under its umbrella. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, the role demands a seasoned professional with a background in M&A, extensive FP&A expertise, and significant real estate industry experience. This entrepreneurial and commercially focused position will oversee group-wide initiatives to optimize revenues, reduce costs, and identify synergies across the portfolio.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee annual budgeting and long-term financial planning, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency through performance monitoring and trend analysis.
2. Assess and enhance the performance of five divisions, driving synergies and aligning with corporate objectives to maximize growth.
3. Evaluate M&A opportunities, conducting due diligence, valuations, & integration to enhance portfolio's value.
4. Partner with division heads to enforce financial discipline, streamline operations, and optimize cost structures.
5. Prepare and deliver strategic financial reports & forecasts to Group CEO, highlighting risks and opportunities.
6. Act as a key advisor on financial planning and portfolio management to influence executive decision-making.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 10+ years in FP&A or related fields, with prior exposure to M&A and strategic portfolio planning.
2. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred).
3. Proven track record in the real estate sector is essential.
4. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
