Job description

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Operations to join our dynamic team at Delano Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our executive leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the overall operations of our organization, ensuring excellence in service delivery, financial performance, and team management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic operational plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Oversee daily operations across multiple departments, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Analyze financial data, prepare budgets, and manage resources to optimize profitability while maintaining service excellence.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other executives to align operational strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and best practices to streamline operations and increase productivity.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining high standards of service quality and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions, adapting strategies as necessary to maintain competitiveness.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders including suppliers, partners, and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards in operational activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (minimum 2-3 years) in a senior operational management role, preferably in the hospitality or service industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of financial management and performance optimization.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute operational plans effectively.
  • Proficiency in budget management, resource allocation, and cost control.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Experience in implementing and managing operational best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adaptability to changing market conditions and the ability to drive innovation in operational processes.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for operational management and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Experience in the luxury hospitality sector is highly desirable.
