At GEMS SRI we provide a seamless educational journey from Pre-Prep & Prep to Sixth Form, through use of gamification and advanced technologies, alongside a strong emphasis on science, computing, reading, writing, and the arts. Prioritising a holistic approach to education we offer student enrichment through extensive programs in the arts, sports, and personal development. Our arts curriculum is enhanced by expert collaborations and instrument coaching, while a robust sports program offers specialised training in gymnastics, martial arts, ballet, and cricket.

Students benefit from state-of-the-art sports facilities, including a 50m Olympic-sized swimming pool, a learners' pool, NBA standard basketball arena, padel courts, a 400m elevated running track, and outdoor spaces for cricket, football, and basketball. The campus also features advanced esports and sports simulation technology to enhance the athletic experience.

The school offers a minimum of 18 sports on site, including football, rugby, cricket, swimming, water polo, fencing, gymnastics, martial arts, and traditional PE activities. These in-house programs are supported by professional coaching to develop students' physical, teamwork, and leadership skills. Through extended-day and extracurricular opportunities, students can access professional training from FIFA-approved academies, Olympic-level coaches, and elite international athletes. Off-campus opportunities include sailing, rowing, skiing, snowboarding, equestrian sports, golf, skateboarding, and karting, offering students exposure to unique athletic experiences beyond the school.

The Patron of Sport and Ambassadors inspire the school community by serving as role models, sharing expertise, and providing mentorship through regular face-to-face and virtual interactions. Together, they work closely with school leadership to enhance the sports experience.

Skills
Successful candidates will need to:

1. Embody and role model our core values
2. Hold a BEd or Bachelors degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent
3. Masters or equivalent qualification is preferred
4. Have proven experience of teaching Sport in a leadership position
5. Possess expertise in creating and nurturing successful partnerships with expert providers and renowned sports professionals across a range of sports
6. Show a keen interest in using technology to enhance individual and team performance
7. Have a willingness to collaborate and share their outstanding practice
8. Have a growth mindset, whereby they are reflective and solution focused
9. Be creative and enthusiastic in their approach to teaching
10. Possess excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with colleagues, students and parents
11. Have a proven track record of providing outstanding learning & teaching
12. Have aspiration to work in a world-class school with real prospects for enhancing their career
13. Be willing to make a positive contribution to our school community and culture through active engagement in our extra-curricular programme and community-based events.
14. Continue to participate in at least one sport and have a personal track record of high performance in sport
