Job description

To achieve revenue goals.

To coordinate sales teams activities in order to secure new and repeat business in order to achieve and exceed budget.

To have a thorough knowledge of the comp set activities in terms of sales and actions plans.

To continuously add and update the database of contacts and local group leads including the comp set in order to implement an efficient solicitation program.

To attend monthly credit meetings with Executive Committee members ensuring that all necessary follow up is presented in concise and efficient manner.

To define and target key accounts and develop effective solicitation with the Sales Managers.

To research and explore new markets and potential accounts for sales team to follow up.

To ensure that sales team project a warm professional and welcoming image.

To be demanding and critical when it comes to departmental standards.

To ensure that all Departmental operations Manuals are prepared and updated annually.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years of previous hotel sales management experience
  • Experience in budgeting.
  • Previous experience in working with the local and national markets.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven success in working independently and as part of a team to accomplish goals and meet project deadlines.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of hotel operations.
  • Must be competent in computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database).
  • Must be service-oriented to guests, potential guests, and fellow team members.
