Our client is a leading PR and Communications agency specialising in serving government, corporate, and financial clients across the GCC. It is dedicated to delivering innovative, high-impact solutions that enhance the reputations of its clients and helps them navigate complex communication challenges. It is looking for a talented and dynamic Director to lead on the agency's strategy, team, and client relationships.

If your application is successful, you will be at the helm of managing and expanding the agency's portfolio of high-profile clients. You will lead a team of communications professionals, develop strategic PR campaigns, and oversee media relations, crisis communication, and brand management. This is a senior role that requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, as well as a deep understanding of the dynamics of the government, corporate, and financial sectors in the GCC region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Leadership: Manage and grow relationships with key government, corporate, and financial clients across the GCC, ensuring the delivery of exceptional, tailored PR strategies.
  • Strategic Oversight: Lead the development and execution of integrated PR and communication strategies that align with clients' business objectives and enhance their public profiles.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of PR professionals, ensuring high performance, professional development, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts in the region, securing top-tier media placements and managing crisis communications as needed.
  • New Business Development: Identify opportunities for new business and client expansion, and actively contribute to pitching new clients and projects.
  • Brand Management: Oversee the creation of impactful content, campaigns, and events that enhance brand reputation, increase visibility, and drive engagement.
  • Market Insights: Stay ahead of industry trends, monitor competitors, and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in PR and communications, with a proven track record in managing high-profile accounts, particularly in government, corporate, and financial sectors.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and guide a team to deliver outstanding results.
  • Regional Expertise: Deep knowledge of the GCC market, including media, public affairs, and government relations.
  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to create and implement effective communication strategies that align with client objectives and enhance brand reputation.
  • Crisis Management: Experience in managing complex and sensitive issues, with the ability to act quickly and decisively.
  • Media Savvy: Extensive network of media contacts and a strong understanding of the media landscape in the GCC region.
