Job Summary:

The Procurement Director will lead the procurement function for the company, overseeing all aspects of the procurement process. This role is critical in ensuring that all procurement activities are carried out efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement within the real estate development sector and will possess strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of market trends, and the ability to foster strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that are aligned with the company’s objectives and real estate development timelines.
• Lead the procurement team in sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee the tendering process, including preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and award of contracts.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in all procurement activities.
• Manage and optimize the procurement budget, ensuring cost savings and value for money in all purchases.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and contractors, ensuring reliable delivery of materials and services.
• Collaborate with project management, design, and construction teams to align procurement activities with project requirements.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, implementing corrective actions where necessary to maintain high standards of service.
• Develop and maintain a robust procurement reporting system, providing regular updates on procurement activities, budget status, and market trends.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and service levels.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement, including supply chain disruptions and cost escalations.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the procurement team, encouraging innovation and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the real estate development industry.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale procurement activities in construction and real estate development projects.
• Strong understanding of the real estate development process, including knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and market trends.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in procurement software and tools, with strong analytical skills.
• Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and achieve cost savings.
