Director of Operations - Hospitality Design, Dubai (U.A.E.)

The Bnk Group is a leading Interior Architecture Design and Build firm in India with a presence in 6 offices and over 100 employees.

The group is looking for an Experienced Operations Director with credentials in Hospitality & Design to control and oversee all business operations, people, and ventures in Dubai & GCC. The desired candidate should have at least 10 to 15 years of working experience in Dubai, UAE.

You will be the highest-ranking Director in the organization and will be responsible for the overall success of the business in the Dubai & GCC region.

The ideal candidate will be a strategist and a leader able to steer the company towards the most profitable direction while also implementing its vision, mission, and long-term goals.

The goal is to ensure the company is constantly moving towards fulfilling its short-term and long-term objectives and does not diverge from its strategic guidelines and implementation of processes required to meet the day-to-day working requirements of the office while keeping the team motivated at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulate business strategy with others in the executive team.
  • Provide strategic advice to the board and Chairperson to ensure an accurate view of the market and the company's future.
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities.
  • Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated from the top down and followed at all times.
  • Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners, and authorities.
  • Oversee the company's financial performance, investments, and other business ventures.
  • Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of executives, providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.
  • Read all submitted reports by lower-ranked managers to reward performance, prevent issues, and resolve problems if necessary.
  • Act as the public speaker and public relations representative of the company in ways that strengthen its profile.
  • Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth.
  • Design policies that align with overall strategy.
  • Implement efficient processes and standards that benefit the organization.
  • Coordinate customer service operations and find ways to ensure customer retention.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international laws.
  • Oversee the implementation of technology solutions throughout the organization.
  • Manage contracts and relations with customers, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Evaluate risk and lead quality assurance efforts.
  • Oversee expenses and budgeting to help the organization optimize costs and benefits.
  • Mentor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagement.
  • Report on operational performance and suggest improvements.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic business plans that benefit the organization.
  • Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence trends in the build & design space.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance.
  • Familiarity with corporate law and management, and the ability to adapt best practices to help evolve the company.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A degree in Architecture or Interior Design is compulsory; candidates with an additional Master's in Business Administration will be preferred.
  • Familiarity with all business functions including Human Relations, Finance, Public Relations & Business Development.
  • Experience with implementing IT systems that are future-proof with good knowledge of growing technology.
  • Good with numbers and financial planning.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership ability.
