Participate in the process of setting the general strategy and main objectives of the Human Resources Sector and work to achieve them by setting objectives, policies, initiatives, and operational plans for the Employee Relations Department and following up on their implementation.
Develop and implement procedures and practices for all operations in the department, ensure they are followed, and measure their effectiveness.
Formulate the department’s short- and medium-term operational goals and plans, and align them with department and sector plans.
Develop work plans and manage operational activities in order to improve response time on each task.
Strengthen relations with relevant organizations, bodies, and entities in the field of customs work.
Development tasks:
Evaluate the results of the department’s human capital performance indicators related to the department’s tasks and develop improvement plans to raise its level of performance to keep pace with the strategic directions and main priorities of the Emirate of Dubai in strengthening the economy and maintaining security.
Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the department in using its human resources and provide appropriate recommendations regarding them in order to optimally utilize available resources and increase productivity.
Review the best international practices in the field of customs work and supervise the implementation of projects, initiatives, and development plans for the department’s human capital related to the department’s tasks.
Develop the skills and competencies of employees in the department and provide them with continuous training and professional development to improve the quality of service and increase productivity.
Financial tasks:
Prepare the department’s annual budget and obtain the necessary approvals.
Ensure adherence and commitment to financial and procurement policies within the department.
